Advanced Business Management (ABM)

Advanced Business Management formally integrates a student's academic studies with paid or unpaid work experience in companies in Canada. ABM is for those who wish to gain experience in the field of business.

Overview


This program includes both an academic and an internship component:

Academic Modules (26 weeks)


  • Module 1: International Business
  • Module 2: Human Resource Management
  • Module 3: International Finance
  • Module 4: Globalization and Cultural Awareness
  • Module 5: International Marketing
  • Module 6: International Management
  • Module 7: Business Development and Entrepreneurial Skills
  • Module 8: Comprehensive preparation for your work term
  • Module 9 *(Completed after your internship): Analyze and evaluate the skills and knowledge you gained through your work term

Please note that the co-op employment must not form more than 50% of the total program of study and that students wanting an internship must obtain a final GPA of 2.8 (70%) or better in academic component to qualify for an internship placement.

Entry Requirements for ABM


Students must have either: CBT 197 / PBT 530 / iBT 71 or TOEIC: 750 or completed level 5 at KGIC or any recognized international English language equivalency test score or a pass on our entrance exam. An interview is required. For A-BM: We recommend a current resume and a minimum of two years of post-secondary education and a minimum of one year work experience.
